About Chatterbox

This website has been created by the Financial Inclusion Group for Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme. This group (short name, the FIG) was set up at the end of 2009. It is made up of representatives from a wide range of local organisations including both local councils.

One of the FIG’s key aims is to provide the information, facilities, advice, and support necessary to enable local people to:

  • access appropriate financial services;
  • manage their money effectively and make the most of what they have;
  • take control of their finances and financial choices.

The Chatterbox website is one of the ways we hope to achieve this aim
